Engstate Program Module

Engstate

ENGSTATE is a program module designed to judge the state of Walter M601E engines on the basis of engine test. The state is judged on the basis of on-line reading and consecutive evaluation of selected engine parameters in light of engine power characteristics. All necessary parameters are registered by FDR59B-L flight data recorder that is installed on L410UVP aircraft.

Program ENGSTATE enables these basic functions:

  • to read engine input parameters during a chosen time interval and to save them in a D data file
  • to compute power characteristics from the average of read input parameters in a given time interval or from a chosen D data file recorded by the program EngState
  • to display minimal and maximal parameter values, if these values exceed given deviations, they are highlighted.
  • manual input of parameters:
    • value of static pressure p0 in form xxxxxx Pa
    • value of atmosferic temperature t0 in form xx.x °C

Parameters p0 and t0 are read from the outside measuring device which is not part of the supplied product set

  • manual input of this service information
    • numbers of both engines
    • aircraft number
    • number of test (early number of flight, record)
    • operator's name
  • display computed values of NH power and t4C temperatures, evaluate them and display the result on monitor for all measurements
  • save computed and measured values to database
  • administer the database
    • delete desired sentences from database
    • export, import the database
    • browse main and external databases
  • export records of part of the database to files of three types
    • text (txt)
    • the records are separated by semicolon (cvs)
    • Microsoft Excel (xls)

When exporting to xls, it is necessary that Microsoft Office (97, 2000, XP) software is installed on the notebook.

  • create a record describing the usage of the EngState program (LOG file)
  • compute NH power and t4C temperatures from manual input
  • manual input of a sentence to database
    • save recorded values (requested values: date, time, number of engine, aircraft, and test, NHL/P, NHMSA_L/P, t4CL/P, t4MSA_L/P)
    • compute and then save (requested values: date, time, number of engine, aircraft and test, nG, nV, MK T4L/P, p0, t0)
  • set operator's name
  • edit constants
    • for test of input parameters (minimal maximal value)
    • allowed deviations for evaluation
    • allowed deviations of input parameters from the average
    • implicitly displayed engine and aircraft numbers
    • test example setup
  • display graphically the history of NH and t4C parameters in time for a chosen engine
