Detailed view
TRACE program module serves for graphical interpretaion of the flight data that are read from the AMOS data files of PANDA system. i.e. for the animation of the aircraft movements over the real landscape.
For the full functionality of the modules, the PANDA files have to contain these parameters:
- the date and time of the flight
- the information about the longitude and the latitude in the WGS84 system
- the angles of sight (longitudinal and tranverse sway, heading direction)
- on basis of barometric or other height
TRACE uses digital maps and landscape reliefs as the background for aircraft location and flight path.
The TRACE program module functionality:
- display of aircraft profile (in present, there exist aircraft profiles for L39, L159A, L159B, L410, Mi-17, Mi-24, MIG-29, Sokol, Su-22 aircrafts) from adjustable distance and angle in the different or shared detailed view
- display the flight path in 2D or 3D space, optional length of displayed trajectory before and after the current aircraft location
- control the point of observation using mouse or keyboard
- display basic flight data, eventually aircrafts
- possibility to display the background 2D or 3D map with shadowed relief provided that the digital map and the relief data are available
- get the geographic location and the altitude for any landscape point
- play the flight animation forwards and backwards with various speeds
- import the flight path points database and display them in 2D or 3D space, eventually create user defined flight data points
- lock view on a chosen aircraft (observe the aircraft flight from adjustable constant angle)
- measure the distance between two chosen points (flight path points, aircrafts)
- synchronize time with other PANDA system modules (easy control of flight parameters during flight animation)
- contol graphically vertical multiple as compared to the allowed multiple box for given aircraft type
- simulate the special effects - horizon, sky including real position of sun and moon
- copy chosen parts of the flight from a view (window) to a video file
